Have you been on the edge of your seat to shop Khloe Kardashian’s new denim line? If so, you’re in luck because Good American launching this morning at 8am Pacific 11am Eastern time. The brand is a collaboration with fashion executive Emma Grede, and sizes will run from 5-24. It will be available at Nordstrom and at the Good American website in less than two hours! There is a new definition of sexy. Inspired by their belief that every body deserves to be shown off, friends and collaborators Khloé Kardashian and Emma Grede cofounded GOOD AMERICAN, a line of premium denim for sizes 0 to 24. Contour waistbands, stitching details and special fabrications give each pair a precise fit designed to flatter every curve.
The jeans will come in three styles: Good Legs (skinny), Good Cuts (boyfriend) and Good Waist (high-waisted). Bodysuits, T-shirts and sweatshirts are also part of the offering in the inaugural fall collection.
Khloe has been hyping her new brand since she put out a call for “beautiful, powerful women to star with me in a campaign” for the new denim brand. She asked prospective models to submit their photos at The GA Project’s website, and about 100 women were called for a casting in LA on May 9.
We’ve been getting peeks of the lucky women who were chosen on Good American’s Instagram feed. Jazzmine Carthon, Shae Butters, Karizzagee, Bae.Doe, Roxy Reyes (pictured above), Emily Sears and Marilyn Rondon are among the 20 women who were picked.
It’s remarkable and a step in the right direction that Khloe isn’t launching a plus-size range per se, but including a wide range of sizes. “Plus size” models have been asking for this for along time: stop separating us into some special category, just make clothes for everyone, and have fashion shows for everyone. Say what you will about the Kardashian’s, but they know what the people want!
