North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum Ejected From Senate Floor for Wearing Jeans

Governor Doug Burgum was posing for photographs with high school students on the North Dakota senate floor when an unidentified individual—presumably the North Dakota fashion police—asked him to please leave. OK actually it was the North Dakota Senate’s sergeant-at-arms, an official charged with enforcing various legislative rules. Snap!

Add that to our list of places where it’s still, in this day and age, not OK to wear jeans.

The republican politician also wore jeans at his inauguration in January. Judging by this photo from his website, he’s also partial to denim shirts. This is obviously not a platform for politics, so I’ll stop short of discussing whether our mutual love of denim and his silver foxy good looks make us kindred spirits 🙂
