Lately, we’ve made a couple stops to different showrooms and boutiques around downtown NYC – so far you’ve seen the 7 For All Mankind post where we tried on some of our new favorite denim cuts. We love trying on pairs for purchasing but it can also be great to get a hands on sneak peek of upcoming seasons beyond just the runway. Going to see future collections at a showroom allows you to linger, get great pictures and most importantly get an up close sense of the denim washes, materials and textures used in the collection.
Just last week, we took a trip to see the up and coming Fall/Winter 2011-2012 Cheap Monday collection. There was so much to see and so much to love that I’m going to present it in 3 parts on Mondays stating today with The Denim Jacket followed by Adding Color to Your Wash and Denim Pairings: Cheap Monday Style.
Today, I’m obsessing over their denim jacket. After a long weekend of strolling about in the city and losing an hour of sleep, I noticed that Spring is really going to be here within the next couple of weeks. I got to musing about all the light weight jackets and sweaters I can now start replacing my large, tiresome overcoats with and this Cheap Monday cropped denim jacket fits the bill. I imagine pairing it over sundresses, tees paired with shorts and rompers for ultimate spring time fun. To bad we can’t purchase it till next season – but the idea of it gives way to spring shopping inspiration.
What do you plan on replacing your goose down jackets with this spring?
