Relaxed Jeans for The Weekend

On the weekend my philosophy is: eat what you want, sleep whenever and what ever happens, take it easy. Taking it easy calls for an easy pair of jeans. Generally, I’m seeing all kinds of denim silhouettes out and about, and the boyfriend cut is no exception. The reason why, it’s relaxed, easy, and if properly fitted looks great. Current/Elliott makes great boyfriend cut jeans, the ones above are similar to The Roller Jeans, which is currently on my wish list (pun intended!).  I’ve also been seeing a few people rocking AG Adriano Goldschmied Tomboy Boyfriend is nice because of the low rise and they’re not too distressed.

I’m also really loving the leather jackets this year with the dramatic draped collars. Wow, if anything can make an outfit, it’s a leather jacket. Especially with jeans!

Hi Jennine, I am new to your blog and really enjoying it! As for the boyfriend fit, I’ve never really tried it, as my favorite style is flares/bell bottoms (I know!), the kind that are skinny in the thigh and knee, kind of retro and rock and roll. Here are some topics I’m interested in: how to buy jeans on the internet that fit; how different brands compare fit & size wise; best ways to care for jeans; jean styles / brands worth investing in. Also — any background in the design process/fitting/manufacturing of jeans. Thanks!

denise, that’s a good question! i’ll put a post together about this.. but the short answer to this is, find your size out by trying on jeans in real life. i generally check out each brand to see how it fits, as each brand of jeans fits differently, and some cuts, such as the boyfriend, you’ll need to go a size down. i’ve had pretty good luck sticking to my size!

alanna…you know it does look like it! good guess! i didn’t get to ask her, but it was definitely leather!

    carrie, mee too!
