My Five Favorite Shorts… of the Moment

While sweltering summer heat can be really uncomfortable, at least it gives us a reason to wear hot jean shorts! Cutoffs have proved to be a mainstay this season, appearing in cuffed, pastel, neon and distressed styles. Recently, I’ve spotted a few pairs that have quickly risen to the top of my wish list. And I haven’t just noticed the denim–the shoes, tops and accessories that ladies are rocking as of late are equally delightful. While next month (who am I kidding… week) may usher in a whole new obsession, for now, here are my top five favorite shorts of the moment.

1. Citizens of Humanity Manic Cheeky Shorts ($117.60 – 30% off)
I love how these are ever-so-slightly distressed–faded in all the right places so they look worn in, but not worn out.

2. Hot white denim shorts
I generally have mixed feeling about pockets showing. Sometimes I think it’s cool, others I feel like they make an outfit look too disheveled. This girl, however, looks far from disheveled, thanks to a very pulled together vest, tee and belt.

3. Current/Elliott Boyfriend Shorts ($148)
Can we discuss this amazing shade of hot pink? It’ve been a fan since kindergarten… some things never change.

4. Classic Cutoffs
These remind me of a pair of shorts I made myself. The fit is flawless and they’re a perfect in-between length–not too short and not too long. Not sure where these are from, but they look DIY, right?

5. True Religion Jayde Boyfriend Shorts ($123.20 – 30% off)
Comfort is so important for me in the summer, especially since I live in New York and walk everywhere. I love how these are slouchy and also have a cuff–cutoffs with a twist!

Are you feeling these picks as much as I am? Which pair is your fave?

I think it’s funny that those C/E shorts are called “boyfriend” when no boy I know would ever wear that shade of pink 🙂 Why can’t they just call it a relaxed short? Haha

I like that pink but agree with Hayley about the semantics!
