Back when double denim first came back into the collective fashion conscious, the word on the street was…. the Texas Tuxedo was ok, as long as you DID NOT match your denims. You could wear a denim shirt with colored jeans, a light denim shirt with dark rinse jeans, but matchy-matchy was a no-no. Ok, so I’m here to tell you, don’t follow that rule to a tee… while you can still contrast your double denims, pretty much anything goes nowadays. I’ve really been loving the low-contrast denims, if not matching jeans to shirts. It almost gives that jumpsuit look without having to basically disrobe every time you have to go to the ladies room.
