Finally here in NYC, a brisk breeze is blowing and it feels like Fall! It’s still a bit on the warm side for tights, but that makes it the perfect time of year for those unique pairings that require a certain kind of weather. Examples: socks pulled up with ankle boots; mid-length skirts paired with layered jackets (throw in a cape for bonus points).
With this in mind, I’ve been daydreaming about a vintage denim midi skirt I used to own … with buttons down the front. I’m sure I sold it years ago, but how I wish I had it now! It just goes to show with denim, you really have to stop yourself before you ditch pieces … what goes around always comes around again!
There are some great options for the denim pencil skirt (like the Current/Elliot Dorothy skirt Jennine wore so well in this post), but the A-line version is a bit trickier to find. Scout it out at your local thrift and vintage haunts – and if you find one and want to make a couple bucks, you know where to find me!
Are you a fan of the denim midi … Does the midi silhouette work on you?
