I don’t know about you guys, but winter makes me LAZY when it comes to getting dressed. Layering becomes a weather-related chore rather than an inspiring way of putting together clothes, and never mind arm parties and necklace gatherings … I can barely get my coat on over my sweaters and vests.
I find the easiest way to weather winter is to pare down to a couple great basics … but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring. I like details that bring attention to an otherwise simple garment, and for denim, button detailing seems like a natural fit.
A buttoned-down A-line denim skirt is looking like a great, on-trend choice for winter through summer – same with a classic jean with exposed buttons. A denim dress/vest hybrid also seems like a smart investment (so many ways to wear it). Here are a few inspirations:
1. Alexander Wang Knit & Denim Combo Jacket ($525 – was $750)
2. AG Adriano Goldschmied Lula A-Line Denim Skirt ($205)
3. Textile Elizabeth & James Jefferson Jeans ($122.50 – was $225)
4. Nightcap Clothing Dazed Denim Jumpsuit ($185-50 – was $265)
Do you have any winter dressing secrets? How do you stay inspired during the frigid months?

I keep seeing the jumpsuit/overalls popping up in stores. Seeing your post is encouraging me to try them on next time. I used to love rocking this back in high school, and I recall I think they looked pretty good!
