You’ve probably noticed by now, but neon is coming back in a big way. I tried to avoid it (I have some rough memories of mullets and neon spandex from the 80s… ) But then a pair of neon yellow jeans called to me. You know the call, the one you can never ignore: “Oh hey – I need to be in your closet, now.”
And I gave in.
It was a thrilling purchase – and I practically skipped home on a post-shopping high. But then reality hit. Neon jeans, what was I thinking? How does one wear neon jeans?! Turns out, it’s not that hard. So here are a few of my tips for wearing neon denim:
1. Go casual! For this look I layered some neutrals with a classic jean jacket and rolled up the jeans. To add some pattern to the mix, I added my leopard print loafers and a polka-dot scarf. This look would be perfect for brunch with the girls!
2. If you’re going to be bright, be bright! I love how this purple top complements the yellow neon – it’s bold, but the grey accents tone it down a little, and keep if from burning your eyes… This would be a great look for grabbing cocktails.
3. Office chic! For this last look I wanted something I could wear to work. I went with black and grey to keep the neon under control, and added a statement necklace to glitz things up a bit. And the basic black pump keeps the look simple and chic.

Couldn’t love these jeans or the neon craze any more than I do right now! I love the fun vibrant look of jeans and they really are practical, you can dress them up or down so easily and give any outfit the right amount of oomph! Wonderful post!
