Denim Tips: Give Your Winter Look The Kate Moss Touch

When I think about modern style icons, the first person I always think of is Kate Moss. Is my style anything like hers? Probably not. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think about trying to incorporate a little bit of her je ne sais quoi into my wardrobe. Even if you can’t master that perfectly undone blonde hair or pull off that whole “no make up” look, you can definitely invigorate your ensembles with a little Kate Moss-ness through your denim. She loves a good, super-skinny jean, so start there and then consider these ideas, too:

You can’t go wrong with black: Miss Mos loves black, and isn’t afraid to wear it from head to toe. To give your look some depth and interest, play with different textures by mixing a moto jean with a soft cashmere sweater and suede booties.

Try grey jeans: Grey jeans can be a cool, rock-and-roll piece in your denim wardrobe, and look amazing with your slouchy white t-shirt, killer black heels and a statement coat. (The pair at the top of my list are these Vince welt pocket skinnies.)

Add faux fur for glamour: Being the supermodel that she is, Kate Moss may opt for real fur, but that’s a lofty goal for many of us. However, you can get the same dramatic effect with faux fur – like this Free People cheetah coat or this Rachel Zoe number.

I have to admit, I have never been a fan of pants. But this winter I have been wearing this look for days on end. I didn’t realize how easy and chic it could be! And such a joy to wear…seeing as it has got that model off duty vibe to it and whatnot. Love the blog, check out mine when you can!
