Wearing: Opening Ceremony Chambray Dress

opening ceremony

This summer, my personal wardrobe has been a lot about neutrals. Neutrals and denim. During my trip to New York, I came across this Opening Ceremony chambray dress. I fell in love. It’s simple yet, in the week I have had it I’ve worn it a few times (including today) and the denim color made it easy to accessorize in different ways. The popcorn skirt of the dress I thought would be a lot harder to wear turned out to be really comfortable and unique, though it certainly needs a belt or a long cardigan or jacket because it adds volume in some strange places. That said, I really enjoy wearing this dress…besides, I adore the big pewter buttons.

Today, to tell the truth, it was hard coming back to San Francisco, where there is literally a 30° temperature drop…hey, mild weather, we don’t get much change between winter and summer. I had to layer things up with a cardigan, tights and boots, good thing wearing clothes is so much fun!

That popcorn skirt is adorable. Very flirty and summery, despite the cooler Sf weather.

very very cute!! you look sooo happy it’s sweet. awwww.

i love it paired with the tights and boots, too. what’s up with our west coast weather?? it’s certainly not been balmy down here at the beach either.

I think what really makes the outfit is your big grin. You look so happy! The outfit is a cute one, though, too. I like how the boots and tights rough up the outfit a bit. Otherwise, I think it would be more sweet and girly.

I love the texture on the skirt and think this is what really sets it apart, making it easy to accessorize. Be glad you’re missing the brutal, sweltering, humid bowl of sweat NY has become this past week! I can’t wait to go on holiday to get some relief!
