Back in college, I used to make fun of my professors who wore jackets and jeans. Nowadays, I wear jackets and jeans a lot. A lot. But it’s been a while since I got a new blazer for my wardrobe and had been browsing around the internets for a new style. Since getting dressed by Juicy Couture, they were lovely enough to let me keep the blazer, I can’t seem to find it online, but it’s got these interesting tails and structured shoulders. When I got home, the first thing I did was to put on new outfits out of my clothes.
One of the things I got to do was go to the Alexander Wang Sample Sale last Friday. I had never been to any legendary sample sale in New York, even after the lore of the fantastic deals and the well-dressed New Yorkers, finding out about sample sales takes a lot of luck. And lucky for me, I was lucky. At the sale I picked up two pairs of shoes, a dress, and two tops, and t-shirt for my husband. I’ve been wearing the pieces from the sample sale everyday since. I mean, c’mon. Why not? Especially since it gave me an excuse to wear my J Brand Jodhpurs again. They are the weirdest jeans, and I love them so much.

I love wearing jeans with a blazer. It makes it so easy to go from office to night out. I actually believe I started doing it in college thanks to a couple of my professors. And yeah, sample sales in NYC are AMAZING!!! If you haven’t been to one, you have to go. So many great deals and great articles of clothing. Love the jacket, fyi!
