Wearing: Favorite Black Jeans

by Jennine on July 2, 2010

hudson black skinny jeans

There are two kinds of wardrobe favorites: Favorites you love and wear for special occasions, and favorites because you wear them so much, you practically live in them.

I wear these Hudson black skinny jeans so much, they don’t really make it much into my outfit posts any more because I feel like people see them too much. Honestly, I wear them every single week, sometimes multiple times in the week. Which is probably why they have faded and stretched, hand how they are even more comfortable than a pair of sweatpants. The other day, I was having one of those, “I don’t want to try too hard” days, and out they came. Along with a comfortable tie-dye t-shirt dress by Audrey Cantwell and one of my trusty summer cardigans, it made for an outfit I could easily  take an afternoon nap in. Seriously.

What’s your favorite pair of jeans? Do you wear them all the time of save them for special occasions?

I have two absolute favorites and I save one for general, all-purpose use and one for date nights. ;)

I wish I had a pair like t hose, I don’t awn any properly fitting skinny jeans – I suppose it comes from only owning 2 pairs…

You are beautiful, thank you for visiting my blog and introducing me to yours!

What a great outfit: comfortable and stylish!

I don’t have a favorite pair of jeans, not really. I reach for my black pair the most because they go with everything but they’re not comfortable enough to be a favorite. (They slip down under my belly when I walk and then I have to pull them back up surreptitiously.)

You look great! I wear my favorite jeans with almost everything :)

Aga July 4, 2010 at 2:43 am

I used to be a true jeans addict, collecting as many pairs as possible… :) Now I find skirts and dresses a bit more comfortable. But still, there are some denim pieces in my wardrobe that I’m totally in love with, like my Mango high-waisters…
This blog is amazing, I’m adding it to my blogroll! :)

Really beautiful!

I do have a favorite pair of jeans – light blue, bootcut. I think they were Levi’s. So comfy, and I actually feel good in them.

Cute outfit!

I recently bought the comfiest skinny jeans ever from Target of all places. They’re really stretchy and I love them to bits! They’re my new favourites :)

xx miss anonymous.

Haha thanks so much!! Really love your boots, they rock :)

I love that outfit, you look very rock n roll!

love the boots!!!

Becca July 5, 2010 at 2:25 pm

I have a similar pair of black skinny jeans (J.Brand) which are just about the only jeans I wear at the moment. I always go through phases with jeans and I pretty much only wear one pair for months on end until I find a new favorite (that said, I probably only wear jeans once a week during the warmer months!).

I’m totally digging your rocker chic vibe here! The boots really go perfectly with this look.

I love your tie dye dress, it’s the kind of thing that makes me actually like and want to wear tie dye!

I too love my skinny jeans, I wear them quite often.

I love my J Brand Lovestory jeans!! Have 4 pairs in the same cut but different shades – they make me feel tall & skinny, and who doesn’t love that?!

After reading this, I need a new pair of black skinnies – can’t find my old ones! <3

Lisa July 6, 2010 at 12:49 pm

Those jeans look great on you. I can see how they would quickly become a staple. Broken in jeans are the best; so comfortable!!!

Shin July 6, 2010 at 1:09 pm

I love your shirt dress so much!! I love wearing black skinnies but I save it for evenings and chilly days. It’s so hot to wear them here so I stick to shorts and flip flops most of the time :-) xoxoxoxoxoxo

Fourth Daughter July 6, 2010 at 5:10 pm

Thanks for visiting me! I have to admit, as I worked in the fashion industry for years I have not actually BOUGHT jeans for more than a decade and I live in black skinnies from Uniqlo, blue skinnies from Workshop Denim (a NZ brand) and occasionally also wear 18th Amendment flares … also have an old pair of Hysteric Glamour in a style that was considered low rise and skinny at the time but now look like boyfriend jeans! The most interesting pair I have though are an ancient pair of Lee flares that belonged to an ex who was my size (very scary) and he sewed gold fringing all up the INSIDE of the legs. I’m planning a post about them soon so drop back and check them out!

Sara July 6, 2010 at 5:39 pm

I love your blog…I am a fan of the J. Crew toothpick jean right now. They have it multiple washes. I will be checking back!

I’m a little obsessed with this outfit. Those boots are amazing. And my favorite jeans are these skinny levis. I gained some weight and can only pull them up to my knees, but before I’d wear them almost everyday when I’d get out of work. :)

Julie Jones July 6, 2010 at 11:02 pm

Love this outfit, and especially those wonderful boots! I often joke that I am “married” to by black highwaisted levi’s skinnies. They are perfection to me.

love your blog!

Laura July 7, 2010 at 12:49 am

Thanks for your comment :)

My favorite pair of jeans would have to be my light blue Cheap Mondays. They are soo comfortable and high waisted, so they look really unique and go with most colours.

Sweet blog by the way!

Love your sunglasses! My favorite pair of jeans are a pair of stretchy J Brand super dark denim, medium rise, and big bells with a wide banded hem…. mmmmm. I’m a sucker for 70s inspired jeans. =)

thanks for your comment on my blog!
