Street Style: IFB Conference

On the eve of New York Fashion Week, the IFB Conference brought together more than 300 of the worlds independent (and stylish) fashion bloggers. It seemed like every type of woman and every spectrum of personal style was represented. From gorgeous maxi skirts with tucked-in blouses to – yes – denim overalls, there were notable and unique looks in every seat. Seeing as this was an event for fashion bloggers, would we expect anything less?

Not that we needed anyone to remind us over at Eat, Sleep, Denim, but the denim (or chambray) shirt isn’t going anywhere. It’s such a functional and easy piece, you can do just about anything with it (as exhibited above). These girls show how to give the denim shirt a bit of casual elegance, by pairing it with crisp, tailored separates and loose, bouncy hair.

Both of these looks are examples of my favorite go-to jeans look: skinnies, silk blouse, and wedges. Even with the return of flares, and the plethora of cuts available to us denim-a-holics these days, I will always depend on the ease of a skinny fit. These looks are quite different, but both represent great inspiration for dressed-up denim.

    BEAUTIFUL photos! wow!

I’m excited to take a break from skinnies for a few and head back to flares/wide legs. I think they look flattering on all women when pair with a solid heel/wedge.

    Hi!
I love the run down of denim at IFB. I pretty much live in my chambray shirt so it’s fitting that it popped up here.

    Thanks for the pic!

Cool!! I’m the one in the yellow skirt, thanks for the feature! I wish my shirt wasn’t so wrinkly…it was a long day. 🙂
