St Style: Couple Spotted on Spring

It’s always a grand sight for sore eyes to spot a couple such as this by way of the streets… and simultaneously capture it on camera. We came across the duo on the corner of Spring St and Lafayette St – they seemed to be sartorial works of art that showcased uniqueness and subtle coordination. Initially, we just wanted to shoot the lady, but she insisted that her husband be in the shot which we happily accommodated and I’m so glad it happened this way.

I always admire those who are experts at layering – and this is the perfect example of that. Several layers and not a bit of bulk. The neutral palette allows you to admire each piece that achieves her successful weekend attire. The cape layered with the cord jacket and long-sleeve top is probably my favorite part, but I also loved her boot cut jeans rolled at her ankles that flowed smoothly into her worn brown leather boots. On the other side of things, her husband (I’m actually just assuming this, they seemed chummy) looks pretty downtown chic. Makes me want to date someone with amazing style. Plus, those pants are fantastic and I’m just a sucker for leather detailing.

What’s your take on the couple’s attire?

I love it. All of it. Each has their own flare. Gah! His pants and her boots. Can’t stop staring. And the lining on her jacket? Just might be the icing on the cake. Hats off to you for asking for the photo. You don’t see people dressed like this every day, much less a couple.

I love her layers! I strive for that look often but never seem to get what she achieved. So fabulous!
