NYFW: Lovestory

by Jennine on September 22, 2010

With all the hype around the J Brand Houlihan’s I do see a lot of women wearing the Lovestory style almost as often. One of my favorite things about the Lovestory, is the classic trouser silhouette, especially worn with a tweed blazer and a feminine top. It kind of reminded me of something Love Maegan would wear. It’s the easy effortless chic that just works. Now, what more can you ask for out of a love story than something that works?

I love that outfit!! She looks so tall :) I’m really short… Only 5′foot.. Do you think this style will look funny on me? The love story with a loose Feminine top…

Oh yeah, I do think you can pull it off, it really depends on the proportions, but the lovestory makes you look taller and thinner, they’re great. As for the blouse, if paired with a blazer (the solution to many a fashion problem) it’ll totally work.

I recently just pulled out my wide leg trousers and fell in love all over again! (see outfit here: http://ordinarilyurbane.com/2010/09/17/yellow-navajo/ ) And, Thu, I’m short too so I just wear them with a tall pair of wedges! I love the silhouette and feel so super ladylike in them. I’ll never give up my skinnies though :)

The Lovestory is so classic! No wonder they sold out on Gilt Groupe in like two seconds this morning. It’s pretty far away from my usual jeans silhouette, but I am still so curious to give them a spin!

this cut is so beautiful..I wish I could be tall and thin enough. (especially thin!!). I’ve bought a pair two years ago from Zara and it was a really bad experience. :(
