Denim Style on Facebook

This week, it’s been all about the wide leg and light wash denim. It’s very telling that this fit is here to stay when people from all over start to embrace it all the while coordinating the look to fit their own unique style. I personally like to wear my wide leg jeans with a cropped tee or sweater depending on the weather and some sort of platform sandal (think the Chloe F/W 2011 get the look post from the other day), but I still admire and gain inspiration from the way others choose to incorporate a similar look.

CoffeeBlooms wears her wide legs in a buttoned up and sophisticated manner. I love all her details, notice the two belts, the scarf tied as a bow against her crisp white sweater and tailored leather jacket. However, the denim is what stood out the most because of the wider leg and light wash making her look perfect for a spring day with a slight chill in the air (i.e., necessary for spring in NYC as of now).

Carlaem wears her wide legs in a sultry sort of way that is breezy and fun. I love her sheer white button down tied at her natural waist to reveal her light wash wide legs that elongate the leg and show off her chuncky heels. Plus, the added clutch in leopard gives the otherwise plain outfit an edge. I imagine walks along a beach side boardwalk or early evening dinner with friends would be perfect for this sort of attire.

What’s your favorite and how do you personally choose to wear your wide legs? Are you more refined or do you air on the casual side of things? Thanks so much for sharing and you can too, just find Eat, Sleep, Denim on Facebook and post us your denim style pictures!

I have to say that I really haven’t been able to get into the whole wide leg thing, but these girls look great. I appreciate that you’re supporting your readers by way of Facebook and I’m going to make sure to submit a picture for next time.

Also, If I had to choose, I’d probably go for the more buttoned up look, but I love the way Carlaem wore her wide legs too.

    cheers!
