Denim Style: B. Jones Style

This week’s denim style feature is all about a blogger who’s style I’ve admired for years, but I’ve never met in person. Southern California-based Beth Jones of B. Jones Style is a bit of a do-all, be-all when it comes to style. She’s got personal style and decorative skills to boot, with styling jobs and experience as the Online Fashion Editor of Quiksilver Women. I caught up with Beth this week to find out this glamorous bohemian beauty’s take on denim style.

What is your denim philosophy?

I’m not a jeans everyday kind of girl, but I do love when I wear denim. I have to find just the right fit and go with what looks best on me – not what is trendy. When I find a good pair, I keep them forever!

What do you wear with your denim?

With flares and wide legs, I love going all out seventies: button ups, scarves, blazers, floppy hats. With skinnies, I pair lace-up boots and loafers, a slouchy tee or tank and a chunky knit. Boyfriends are my go to easy jeans, I love wearing them dressed up and down.

What are your favorite denim brands?

I love J Brand jeans. I recently fell in love with , and I love Current / Elliott’s boyfriend jeans as well as Quiksilver Women’s Skinny Boyfriend Jeans.

Do you have a very favorite pair of jeans?

I’ve loved my J Brand Lovestory jeans forever! They fit perfectly and the dark wash is so classic.

Tell us a little about the jeans you wear the most often?

I switch between my J Brand Lovestory, my QSW Boyfriend Skinnies and my Hudson Nicos the most. They cover all the styles – flare, boyfriend and skinny – and I feel great in all of them.

Do you remember the first pair of jeans you ever owned?

Gosh, no, but I do remember my first “fashion” jeans during the early 90′s. They were distressed at the knees and pockets with fabric underneath. I thought I was so cool walking around in those babies… Scary 90′s fashion!
