Denim Poll: Lace denim, love it or leave it?

Denim and lace. It’s so Desperately Seeking Susan, or girl meets boy, or pretty and rugged. But what about lace denim? How 80’s! I have seen lace print denim before, and lace leggings, but never really gave them much thought. Since lace is an ongoing trend through the fall, lace tights are a winter essential… so why not? Particularly since the downfall of lace tights is the lace cuts into my feet, and you could never get as lush of a lace as the lace on the Siwy Hannah Lace Leggings.

But if wearing see through pants isn’t your thing. I mean, you don’t have to explain yourself, I understand. Genetic Denim has a wonderful lace textured jean that is a bit more traditional. As far as printed denim goes.

I have a few ideas of how to wear these… so it’s just a matter of time before it happens. But is it going too far?

Would you wear lace jeans?

I bought lace tights awhile ago (from Target!) but haven’t worn them yet because I haven’t gotten the chance. I’m intrigued by lace denim but have no idea how to wear them… I think I would totally pick up a pair if I saw it in a store like Target or H&M. That price point is much easier to play with than Genetic Denim.

I haven’t tried THAT kind of denim & lace yet, but I am a HUGE fan of denim & lace in general. In fact, it’s one of the main things I find myself both making and wearing.

    See? I’m not lying:

Denim and lace obsessed? Oh yes.

I would totally try it. That’s a pretty pair you have – it wouldn’t be going too far at all. 😉

I like it…but I don’t know if I could wear it in broad daylight. Maybe at night time or for a bar…

Am so very keen. In fact, a pair I found at the op shop are not unlike these. More a damask than a lace, but similar. I found a great ’80s top of acid wash denim, lace and floral tapestry-like print for 50c at a carboot sale almost two years ago. I think it’s finally come back into its own. Maybe more now than when it was first bought.

I am a true denim junkie. haven’t tried rag and bone and would love to see it. however the lace jeans.. Hmmmm not so sure.
I have lace , lace-embellished tops in the closet and wear them (gotten comments from musicians I have interviewed who liked it) but not on jeans. It’s the way it would have to be accessorized so it’s not over the top .

maybe as a lace denim skirt.. (pencil) that would rock
