Denim Poll: Do You Hold on to Summer?

by Jennine on October 6, 2010

These are the last few summery days. Are you holding on to the summer season, or are you chomping at the bit for fall? I’m a little of both. The main thing about warm days, is that no matter what the calendar says, nothing is more depressing than trying to wear cold weather clothes. Believe me, I grew up in San Diego, and I love sweaters, coats, gloves and scarves. It’s depressing wearing camel hair coat when it’s 75° outside and sunny!
I really loved how this lady layered up her outfit, she’s got the warm weather down, but has a beautiful tribal print scarf to spice up a tank top, and just in case the chill blows in. It also offsets the skinny jeans, which is hard to pull of with tank tops, unless they’re very baggy tanks tops!  And of course, I’m a big fan of cross body bags.

Are you excited for fall, or holding on to summer?

I’ve been sorta rebelling a bit. I bring a jacket but I’m still wearing sandals and bright ‘summery’ colors.

I love the feeling of change in Fall – and also the feeling of wearing skinny jeans matched with my favorite boots!

Yeah, the weather here is so crazy, I can totally relate to that!

I am super excited for Fall, even though we didn’t get much of a summer here in San Diego this year (hard to believe, I know). But what I love about Fall is the in between. Dresses with boots…tanks, skinny jeans and a light cardigan…and boots…gotta have boots.

I am SO excited for Fall! But also living in New Orleans ours doesn’t come around til mid-October. It’s been a long, hot Summer and I’m really for some cardis, scarves and boots.
