Chloe Fall Winter 2011 2012: Get the Look

I’ve strangely had a lot of reoccurring orange accents and objects in my life as of late, so when Jennine sent me this picture I concluded that I should talk about orange and how awesome of a color it is to integrate into your wardrobes this season.

Curious about the reoccurring orange objects? Well… besides being in almost every store window – there was a belt I recently received, followed by a candle, orange stripes inside a new pair of shoes and even a note in orange highlighter (by far the most amusing) and lastly this image from Chloe’s Fall Winter 2011 2012 runway that inspired a get the look post for today. Oh, and, not to mention, made me laugh about realizing how orange things have been recently.

Besides all things orange…. I will have to say that I did fall in love with this particular look. I loved the wide leg trouser, but I particularly loved this trouser because of the cropped leg, two toned denim patches and (especially) the metallic silver detailing on the pockets…. So, because RTW can be a bit much for your everyday gallivanting and because this look really won’t be available for a while, I’ve put together a similar spring/summer look we can enjoy now:

While there may be no glaring, brilliant orange in my spring summer outfit pick, it still channels the Chloe runway in a subtle, but wearable way. Tuck in the shirt and put on your favorite pair of specs, maybe grab a glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and you’re set for a spring summer day! Do you see yourself in this look? How will you be wearing orange this season and have you noticed the color lately as much as I have??

I love this look. Typically, cropped and flared DOESN’T look good but these are uber cute and look great with the platform sandal.

Orange is probably the top color I’m looking to add to my wardrobe this Spring. That in kelly green. If I can find a silk blouse, scarf, and large bag for every day in those colors, I’ll be happy 🙂

I’m in agreement on both accounts. A cropped pair of wide legs can be unflattering, but I think that this is a good representation of a pair that fits well and would look good if you’re up for it! After all we determine whether or not we own a look 😉 Secondly, orange is great and I like it as a prominent accent color as well as kelly green. Good thoughts and thanks for sharing!
