Guess jeans, which celebrated its 30th anniversary a few years ago with a reissue of pieces famously worn by Claudia Schiffer—and by shooting a campaign with the model who looked nearly the same as she did three decades ago—has now partnered with rapper A$AP rocky.
This time around, the denim brand is taking the urban route. The stunning twins behind @urbanbushbabes took over the Guess Snapchat account for the launch of the A$AP collab, and the designs, which will be released on February 16, promise to a retro-street-style aesthetic.
Chief Creative Officer Paul Marciano says:
Growing up he wore and loved our jeans with the triangle logo on the back pocket and this line is tapping into his incredible artistic vision to create a modern heritage-driven line. It is a denim-heavy collection with quintessential 90’s influences seen in oversized denim jackets, overalls and logo-centric styles.
The men’s collection will include oversized denim trucker jackets, tailored denim overalls, relaxed shoulder drop neck varsity stripe tees, and relaxed drop shoulder mock neck tees and hoodies. The women’s collection will feature denim high-rise shorts, vintage overalls, vintage skinny jeans, and, wait for it, denim swimwear.
The logo, naturally, will read GUE$$.
