Blogger Style: Green With Envy

How many more times do you think you can hear the phrase “pop of color” before you just can’t take it anymore? I love what it means – taking a basic outfit and jazzing it up with a bold and colorful piece – but the expression is starting to make my stomach turn just a bit. All black – with a red bag! Jeans and a t-shirt – yellow shoes! I get it, and I wear it – but currently, I’ve got bigger, much more colorful fish to fry.

I am having a major moment for all green everything. Not head-to-toe froggy green, but a blend of hues, from minty to forest green to nearly neon, that when mixed together create a softer take on the monochromatic look. I’ve fallen for a couple pairs of green jeans recently (these from Rag & Bone / JEAN and these from Paige), and after seeing these cool and cozy looks from Aimee and Krystal (far left and far right, respectively), I am hankering to try it myself.

What do you think of green-on-green? Is it the next denim-on-denim? Color me curious…

I’ve never worn mint green in my life, but it is becoming more and more appealing to me by the second! These are definitely on my wishlist! Krystal’s take on the trend is oh-so-perfect.
Who would have ever thought we’d be wearing mint green denim?!

Rather than a POC look this is a WOC look (wall of color). I like it, but having trouble translating it for myself as I am not a young chicken anymore. Some looks are harder to make AA (age appropriate) than others. Although one of my neighbors Kay doesn’t hesitate to wear head to toe purple and she’s over 80.

I love green, I always have, and green-on-green is just genius. This post was great (as always) and I can’t explain how inspired I feel. I need green jeans ASAP.

Mint is one of my favorite colors! The perfect pastel for spring AND it goes well with chocolate! 😉
