It’s no secret that the world of style blogging is a heavily populated one. There are thousands of us, each with our own sense of style. We each bring different things to the table, and the way we put ourselves together day after day and share it with the internet is kind of amazing.
With a blog that’s denim-based, I often feel like I’m just out of ideas. I think to myself, there are no more ways to wear jeans! I have no more clothes! No more combinations! I’ve done it all!
This isn’t true, and thanks to my favorite style bloggers who continuously bring the awesome with their amazing wardrobes and seriously creative pairings – I always find new inspiration.
Style & Pepper: Jessie is not only one of my favorite people, but she also has an incredible knack for mixing together unexpected pieces to create totally amazing looks. Take note of how she makes a plain denim shirt look anything but plain. By layering and belting a fur vest with a printed skirt and printed booties she creates an ensemble that’s unique but easy to riff on. We all have these kinds of pieces in her closet, it’s just about finding a new way to wear them.
Gary Pepper Vintage: I absolutely love this blog, can I just say that? Her look here isn’t full of complicated layering tricks or all kinds of accessories, it’s simply thoughtful. Pale yellow jeans and electric turquoise pumps, with a drape-y, patterned cotton shirt. It’s just good, you know?
5 Inch & Up: Sandra has the hair, body and closet so many of us would kill for. I love coming to her blog just to gawk at the stunning photos and try to glean some inspiration that I can translate in my own closet. Somehow here she makes long, loose, totally distressed jeans mixed with a sweater and shorter-sleeve jacket printed and gloves look totally normal. The mix is crazy… and if you ask me, brilliant.
What do you do when you run out of ideas? How do you keep things fresh in your own closet, without breaking the bank shopping all the time?
