Today’s blogger denim style round-up is all about color. Personally, I really struggle to make colored denim (or any bold colors) work in the winter. Why? I blame New York City.
I can put together a bright and jazzy look in my room and feel amazing, and as soon as I step out onto Avenue A in the East Village – I feel a fool. Everywhere you look, people are dressed in head-to-toe black, grey, black, grey. Now, I know that many of these people have no fashion sense and only own black coats — but still.
My sartorial self-consciousness aside, some of my favorite bloggers have no qualms with sporting bright colors in the winter. From a monochromatic ice blue look (dying over this), to giving dark denim a shock with hot pink cashmere – I’m envious and inspired.
How do you wear color in winter? Or do you hide behind all-black-everything, like me?
