I don’t know if you guys have been following the news at all, but there’s this storm making it’s way up to the Northeast, her name is Sandy. She’s apparently going to bring quite a bit of wind and rain and nasty weather to huge metropolitan areas like New York City, D.C., and Boston.

While safety is of paramount importance for the next few days, if you must go outside, it’s best to be dressed for anything. Rain-ready shoes, a water-resistant coat and a good hat, of course. Here’s what I’ll be wearing for the next few days, should I need to go outside.

When I think hurricane, I immediately think coated jeans, don’t you? I think the matte black of these Rag & Bone jeans is dark and serious, like the weather. On that note, I’ll be keeping pretty much my whole look dark and serious – from my head (under a nice soft beanie since anything with a brim could fly away), to my knee-high boot-clad feet. The most important part is probably a good jacket, and one like this fur-trimmed on from A.L.C fits the bill perfectly. Oh – and don’t forget the cozy sweater!

Now everyone on the East Coast stay safe!
