Summer Shorts Round Up

If you asked me what my favorite summer staple was, I’d automatically respond: denim shorts. It’s a necessity when the temperatures start to sky rocket. I’m pretty picky when it comes to actually purchasing a pair however. They have to fit properly and, most importantly, not be too short or too long.

Recently, I’ve taken tours through a couple of our favorite brands with Jennine where we’ve been able to spot a few pairs that are summer worthy:

Paige Denim Shorts

Paige did a great job with providing an array of styles and colors. I happened to be fond of their colored denim shorts, but if you’re still on the fence about it, they also had your traditional blue jean shorts too.

James Icon Shorts

These bad boys from James are great because of their elastic waist and level of comfort. I vote for these when headed pool side or to the beach. It makes it easy to throw on and off for leisurely swim suit days.

RESIN Denim Shorts

I’ve been all about Resin lately. You may recall the video and lookbook we posted recently? I like the colors and the collab with Made Her Think. It’s my go to short for when I’m in need of more spice in my life.

7 For All Mankind Shorts

These were awesome simply because they are a bit dressier for a denim short. They make me think of a French girl that wears ballet flats, a stripped navy and white boat neck top tucked in, classic jewelery, cat eye shades and a barret.

MOTHER Denim Shorts

We recently mentioned MOTHER and their lovely light weight jeans, but this time it’s about the shorts. They make a wide variety of summer shorts that make it easy to find a pair you love. This is another label who also took color to heart.

Where are you purchasing your denim shorts this summer?

AH I die for that first pair of Resin shorts! So amazing. For me it’s hard to find a good pair of denim short’s because I have a curve in my back which means everything fits my legs but is big on my waist *womp womp! For this reason the 7 for ALL Mankind shorts look tempting because I can tie them and James Jeans because of elastic.

    Thanks Lady XX

    These.7 for all mankind.shorts.are.awesome!!!
but unfortunately too pricey (for shorts)!
Yet I must admit that my favorite pair of shorts that I own is by Replay and I got them for 100 euros, and that was their sale price. But they have been my favorite shorts for the past 3-4 years! they are not too short so I can wear them in the office too!! 🙂

I have to say that I too am feeling the denim shorts these days. So many brands are making them but there aren’t that many out there that really have something special.

I saw a beaded pair at All Saints in NYC last weekend but they were over $350 which is insane. That being said, Buzz Jeans has a few great styles right now including the Siwy Camilla Cut-Off Short in a lovely faded green moss colour, as well as some cool printed denim styles like Insight’s Arosed short (denim shorts with a gorgeous floral rose pattern). All their designer denim shorts are here if you want to take a peek:

    Thanks for the post!
