By Ann of Holier than Now
Good news: this sueded pant board was reversed-inspired. Rather than my usual process of obsessing over something that’s out of stock or out of reach, I actually found and fell in love with brushed twill jeans and realized I could style them like a real suede pant.
Brushed twill looks and feels like a very flat suede, but of course because it’s actually cotton, it’s vegan, doesn’t smell like leather, and won’t cost you a fortune to clean (or buy!). Personally I’m going to dry clean mine, but you can wash them inside out and hang to dry when still damp to keep yours perfect.
I love the warm, western feel of a suede-look pant, and of course how beautifully they pair with suede boots and shoes. The brushed cotton is so comfortable; perfect to live in all winter.
Here are four pieces to whet your appetite- from the real deal through twill options and a short on sale (tip: now’s the time to snap up those suede and leather shorts you wanted this summer; you can wear them with tights for now):
1. GoldSign Blossom Leather Flare Pants ($800)
2. James Jeans Twiggy Brushed Twill Legging Jeans ($158)
3. 7 For All Mankind Brushed Twill Maggee Pants ($150.50 – were $215)
4. Club Monaco Joven Suede Shorts ($124.50 – were $249)

Oh my gosh, I love this look. I just picked up a pair of suede leggings while I was in Paris and they are my new favorite thing. Love the brushed James pair – so chic!
I really like this look, can you please tell me where can I find the original photo from Vogue?
