I’m not a fan of low rise denim, and as much as I try tucking in my shirt to my jeans, it’s a challenge. So naturally, high waisted jeans are my go to. They’re comfortable, flattering (disclaimer: only if worn correctly) and easy to tuck your shirt into. And they’re great to pair with crop tops which are the upcoming season’s hottest trend, and I’m eager to try.

1.

J Brand Maria High Rise Skinny Jeans

The legging-like fit of these skinny jeans makes them not only jeans you’ll want to live in, but the dark indigo goes with everything. And they’re great for taller ladies. They fit a pretty high torso without causing the dreaded camel toe.

2.

These relaxed jeans have a slight boyfriend jean fit but with a little more shape. And you can’t go wrong with the classic blue wash. These are great for those looking for a 100% cotton jeans which are surprisingly difficult to find in the right fit and wash.

3.

We can’t do a high-waisted denim roundup without including a pair of flare jeans, and this pair by Rag & Bone are perfection.

4.

These ankle jeans scream retro, while staying true to one of the season’s hottest leg lengths. The 2% stretch makes these mold to your body, and black jeans are a year-round staple.

Here is another pair of high rise, high water jeans that have less of a retro and more of a modern feel. And they’ll transition well from winter to spring. Pair them with boots in the cold, and virtually anything in the warmer months.

I imagine you must avoid NYDJ because they’re marketed toward older women, but I’ve tried a few of the ones you recommend above and in me NYDJ fit much, much better. Their new legging style actually fits more like a real skinny jean (their “skinny” is more of a strait
    leg) and they’re incredibly flattering!
