Get rid of muffin top in seconds (without sewing)

by Kristen Philipkoski

For those of us between sizes or with certain body shapes muffin top is a common battle. One way of minimizing it is by using Adjust-a-Button, a quick and sturdy button that can be adds or subtracts up to an inch to the waistband in seconds. Here I show you how to use it and give my review of these instant buttons!

They’re not cheap but if it means you can salvage your tight/loose jeans it’s totally worth it! What a find!!

Apple? You’re tiny! And the camera adds 20 lbs, too.

I’m often between sizes and I really need this. (But then I need to go buy new pants, haha. I came to dislike my old new-to-me jeans – the only pair in the size I’m almost down to.) (You can even see in my blogging either how my skinny jeans are no longer skinny or – ugh – belt buldge.)

However I suggest JoAnn’s under $2 kit with a bunch of buttons – they’re permanent and I don’t think require too much craft talent. I’m definitely getting the kit!

Another option is “Instant Button” – on eBay for $15 (set of 2, also reusable).

Thanks for the review! I have a teensy tiny waist (I’m so small boned that a 3 lb gain makes me go up a size) so when I find a pair that fit across the hips the waist always gaps. I’m so used to it that I just wear tops to make sure its covered, but its not comfortable by any means. So I think these would be a perfect solution, as I wouldn’t get the zipper showing. As far as the price, it is a bit much, but when you think of how many pairs of jeans you can adjust, the price doesn’t seem as bad. Thanks again!

It would have been nice to be able to see the difference in the “muffin top” AFTER putting on the Adjust-a-button. You showed the before, but not the after. Kind of defeated the purpose of the video, but I like the idea of the product anyway!

Great idea for when you have put gained a bit of weight but are working towards losing it and don’t want to give up your favourite par of jeans.
