Are you afraid of crop tops?
I feel you. I do not publicly bare my belly under any circumstances. Ever. This year’s fixation on everything cropped, had me in a state of panic, because I just hate, hate, hate bare midriffs. Well, it didn’t take long to figure out what to do.
Using a crop top to layer with your more bold silhouettes to give them shape, or to give shape to body con looks, or to add depth to an outfit without adding too much… fabric. You can totally wear a crop top without showing anything you don’t want to show.
Here I’m wearing the Free People Cropped Moto Jacket in denim along with a way-too-big chambray shirt and baggy boyfriend jeans. What the jacket does is help add shape to my body which otherwise be looking like it’s in a potato sack.
So never fear! I’ve yet to come across a trend that couldn’t be worked in somehow!
How about you? Are you wearing cropped tops?
