Denim Review: Paige Hoxton Striped Zip-Ankle Jeans

I’m not going to lie, when Paige sent over these striped jeans, I was a little intimidated. I thought they were too bold, too much. I got them home, laid them out on my bed and wondered what I could possibly feel comfortable wearing them with. I figured I could take the easy route, with a loose, black sweater and flats, or try and mix things up a little bit.

On the first day I wore them – it happened to be colossally raining, so my choice was made for me.

The Hoxton striped skinny jean has a high waist and zips at the ankles, giving a little added challenge to an already challenging print. The denim is 98 percent cotton and 2 percent spandex, giving comfortable stretch and no sag. I also had fun with the 9-inch rise, it’s ideal for tucking in.

Due to the rain, I tucked the fun detailing into a tall pair of Hunter Boots (another look from the styling project I did with them), and topped everything off with a classic trench.

To be honest, I’m not totally sold on my own styling here, but I see so much potential in these jeans. (Don’t I look a little like a baseball player?) On cold days, with an oversize burgundy sweater and ballet flats? With black stilettos and a silk top? There are so many possibilities for the jeans I thought were impossible.

They look really cute, but I think I would be unsure how to wear them as we’ll.

I really like these jeans, although like you I’d be a little lost how to wear them! I like them layered here for rain, but like you said they would make great statement jeans paired with heels and a simple top 🙂
