Denim Review: J Brand Zoey Triple Zip Jean in White

by taylordavies

I don’t know if I’ve shared this with you yet, but I am on the hunt for the perfect white skinny jeans for spring and summer. I always see these chic women running around New York (and the Hamptons, when I’m lucky) wearing perfectly fitting, effortlessly fantastic white jeans.

I don’t always want to be so simple and traditional with my denim (what kind of blog would this be if I did?), so I decided to try one of the latest offerings from J Brand, the Zoey Triple Zip Skinny Jean. I was drawn to the motorcycle vibe of the zippers (the pockets are faux, unfortunately) and the ankle-length cut.

I found that while these jeans are soft and have a lot of stretch, they are far too sheer for a jean I would feel comfortable wearing with anything tucked in. You can see the outline of the faux pockets and you must choose your undergarments carefully. These jeans come in black as well, which I think would better suit how they’re meant to be worn. The rise is a comfortable 8 inches, perfect for tucking in a blouse, but with the sheerness of the denim, it isn’t really possible.

Alas, these were not the right white jeans for me, and so the search continues. Perhaps though, I’ll try them in black, and have a very Hell On Wheels-esque spring…

*Fit note: I am normally a size 27, but notice that I almost always have to size up in J Brand, so these are a 28. Even so, they are still a smidge tight.

Do you have a favorite brand of white jeans? If so, leave a note in the comments & tell me why you recommend them!
