Denim Review: G-Star RAW Low-T

With pastels being so hot this season, it’s really hard to get buy without a pair of light jeans. It seems like every season a new wash appears on the ‘must have’ list, while I’m still craving a pair of white jeans, light jeans also fit the bill. Because really, white jeans? I love them, but still a little too nervous about actually wearing them because I drink a lot of coffee.

The Denim

For SS10, G-Star RAW launched an ad campaign with Liv Tyler as they push further to establish themselves in the US market. With a 7.5 inch rise, the ‘Low-T’ jeans sit, well, low, and the twist on the 5-pocket style makes them stand out from ordinary jeans, as they are sewn on both the front and the back, and the coin pocket is concealed. Looking at them in the box, I was skeptical of the wash, it looked a little too light, and I really don’t like that ‘spray painted’ look, but when I tried them on, the effect was much subtler than anticipated. One of the things I really liked was the softness of the denim, they have a good amount of stretch, at first they were a weeee bit too small, but they stretched to my shape relatively quickly, and didn’t get baggy.

How to wear it:

I personally, like to dress things up a bit, throwing a nice gingham blazer on with a soft tank-top is perfect for spring weather, well, particularly where I live, where it never gets very hot or cold. These jeans also go great with grey heels, which I have a million pairs, and particularly love these cut-out pumps.
