“I’ve always loved denim. I’m inspired by its ability to act like a modern canvas or a travel log of sorts.I still remember the jeans that I spent much of all of 1998 in.” Marianne McDonald, like many denim designers, turned her fond memories and early obsessions with denim into a career. After jobs at Joe’s, Robert Rodriguez, and Gap, Marianne took her years of experience and applied it to her own label Mcguire Denim. Born out of a need to re invent denim as traditional workwear, and push the boundaries of utility and function, Marianne designs modern jeans with a vintage aesthetic (We cannot wait to try the Majorelle flares!). Styles that are based on traditional work wear, but with a modern and feminine sensibility. Basically jeans that last, fit well and serve a purpose but also make you look fabulous. Sounds god to us. Bonus, McGuire is manufactured in the United States, and Mcguire gives back — in collaboration with the Green Belt Movement, will plant a tree for each piece sold. McGuire is based in NY and produced in L.A.
