DL1961’s Spring 2014 Campaign Plays Up Classic Denim & East Coast Style

Denim, in my mind, has always had strong California connotations. Heck, jeans were invented in California. Many denim brands made their homes in California, and more often than not, you’ll see denim lookbooks with that beachy, canyony, rock and rolly, type style rooted in California. Heck, if you live here and both Christina and I are natives to the Golden State, denim is pretty much the staple, even for dressing up.

That said, DL1961’s Spring Lookbook took to the East Coast. Ok, they are based in New York, but this lookbook has a distinctive East Coast flavor. Classic, prep, like a summer in the Hamptons (or from the looks of it, the Long Beach boardwalk on Long Island) With skinny jeans and button down shirts in classic chambray or that crisp white that makes anyone look fresh and refreshed. Even with the trendy accents, printed panels, colored jeans, or cargo skinny jeans, it’s all very timeless. Now, that’s something a whole wardrobe can be built out of!
